VISION/MISSION STATEMENT
Technology has become the foundation on which all aspects of a modern and successful educational institution are built. The Graham County School District is committed to providing an education to its students that will allow them and our community to compete globally in the 21st Century.
Graham County Schools has provided the means by which all its schools and classrooms have been connected via fiber optic to the World Wide Web at a degree of high-speed connectivity. The System's Wide Area Network (WAN) has become an integral component of the instructional program of our schools in preparing an environment in which all students and faculty can reach their maximum potential in academic performance and instruction - thus creating an environment in which all members of our school system can be successful in the 21st Century World of rapidly expanding information and technology.
The Graham County Schools Media and Technology Advisory Committee has developed a LEA Technology Plan for 2009-2013 that builds on the successful foundation developed with previous technology plans by increasing technology opportunities through the benefits of a larger technology staff, increased bandwidth and speed, staff development training, increased use of online classes, and implementation of new programs and technological devices.
